Victoria Director
Tamika Jones is WISA’s Victoria Director and Sales Executive for a family run seafood wholesales in Melbourne. Her path into seafood began at 28, when a career travelling the world as a performance artist and a love of diving inspired her to study marine science. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Marine Systems, Tamika built her career in barramundi aquaculture, progressing from technician to operations lead before moving into seafood wholesale. Today, her work takes her between the factory floor, client visits and conversations with chefs and hospitality businesses, bringing together her practical production experience and love of connecting with people.
Tamika has contributed to WISA’s Turn the Tide program as both a facilitator and action group member, and brings experience in community advocacy, fundraising, event management and building collaborative partnerships. Her own experiences have strengthened her commitment to ensuring women’s contributions are recognised and their voices are heard. Through her role on the Board, Tamika wants to create more opportunities for women across seafood to share their stories, support one another and influence the decisions that shape their working lives.
