Events Promoting Seafood Women
Events Promoting Seafood Women
WISA networks are unique as a national organisation open to women from all sectors working in and with the seafood industry. WISA directly communicate with 600 women in seafood and reach over 2000.
WISA has strong partnerships and relationships with agriculture and rural sector women organisations including NRWC, federal, state and territory governments, peak seafood industry bodies, FRDC and research institutions. WISA work closely with Seafood Industry Australia and are partners to the Stay Afloat program supporting mental health and wellbeing in the industry. Through networking activities and communications, WISA provide visibility and support to seafood women and disseminate information to our members and the wider industry.
From women working on the boats, in farms and factories, post-harvest and processing, leading innovation or research, new ventures, management, or government and policy making, WISA has members from all seafood sectors and across the supply chain. WISA welcomes and is inclusive of all.

Become a WISA Champion
Host a network event in your local area
At its heart, WISA is a network. Our network of members is our strength. We believe that facilitating genuine connections builds resilience and capacity. To facilitate these connections, WISA hosts in person and online events, and we run our programs.
Our greatest joy is to see these connections made and observe the impact of women supporting each other to achieve their goals. However we are a small organisation and we can’t be everywhere. Which is why we invite you, as members, to be an active WISA champion!
If you would like to start a local networking group, or host an event, or have an idea for a workshop, or another idea to connect a group of seafood women, we invite you to get in touch with us.
We have the resources to help and support, so you won’t be on your own!
