Linda Williams

WISA Western Australia DIRECTOR

Linda has over 40 years experience in the West Coast Rock Lobster fishery and has been an active member on various committees over that time.

She is a past Chair and Director of the Western Rock Lobster Council serving on the Board for 7 years.  Whilst on the Board Linda was instrumental in driving a development program for young leaders in the industry and is passionate about supporting and encouraging the younger generation to step up and gain the skills required to lead the industry into the future.

The family business is now being run by son Chris and hopefully will pass on to his two sons when the time comes.

Linda also sits on the Building Community Support sub-committee for the Western Australian Fishing Industry Council (Western AustraliaFIC) and is a member of the Western Australian Research Advisory Committee (Western Australia RAC).

She has also just recently been elected as Deputy Chair of Combined Zone C Association, this Association represents all unit holders in the Southern Zone of the Western Rock Lobster Fishery and on behalf of it’s members liaises with the peak body, the Western Rock Lobster Council.

Linda is grateful for the experience gained over 40 years of involvement in the seafood industry and the people that she has met during that time, none so genuine, passionate and colourful as grass roots fishers and their families.
